The Hanoi release will be a minor release (based on the version 2.0, Geneva release) and will work to harden and improve the testing of the platform.
Release Themes and Objectives
- Stabilize the APIs, insuring backward compatibility and providing a testing and quality assurance platform that gives confidence to users
- Support running a service on a different host than the other services. Specifically making it easier to run a device service on a different host that the rest of EdgeX
- Improving system management capabilities to include storing management metrics (for store and forward) and exporting management data to 3rd party systems
- Securing the REST communications between services (HTTPS)
- Automating performance testings
