Delivery: ~ May 2022
The Kamakura release is anticipated to be a dot release that is backward compatible with all EdgeX 2.x releases. The release is not anticipated to be an LTS release.
Major additions planned for this release include:
- Improved security secrets seeding and allowing for delayed service starts
- Initial North to south message bus
- Metrics collection
- Dynamic device profiles (changes to device profiles)
- Better (native) Windows support
- Improve testing (including first real hardware testing)
- V2 of the CLI
